Drumstick Curry


Drumstick is tasty vegetable while we eat in sambar it will be very tasty. In sambar we add more vegetables along with drumstick but if u have only drumstick  at home then u can made this recipe. Drumstick is good for health and I made drum stick curry. 

Drumstick Curry
 Ingredients: Serve - 2
  • Drumstick – 2 
  • Onion – 2 
  • Tomato – 2 
  • Garlic – 5 pieces 
  • Oil – 5tspn 
  • Mustard seeds – 1tspn 
  • Urad dhal – 1tspn 
  • Jeera – ½tspn 
  • Curry leaves – a few 
  • Coriander leaves –Few
  • Turmeric powder – a pinch 
  • Red chili powder – 1tspn 
  • Dhaniya powder – ½tspn 
  • Salt -3/4spn (adjust to taste)
  • Water – 1 glass (medium glass)

Method:
  1. Take a pan heat 5 tspn oil in a medium flame add mustard seeds,urad dhal, jeera wait for crackle, add curry leaves, garlic pieces and saute for few seconds(figure 1) 
  2. Add onions, salt and saute until onions become soft.(figure 2 & 3)
  3. Add tomatoes and saute well until tomato become soft. (figure 4) 
  4. Now add drumstick, turmeric powder, red chili powder, dhaniya powder mix well and saute for 1min( figure 5, 6 & 7)
  5. Add water, mix well and taste the water. If you feel like the taste is not as expected then add necessary ingredients to suit your taste and mix well(figure 8 & 9) 
  6. Close the lid and Cook for 15min or until drumstick cooked in a medium flame. (figure 10)
  7. After drumstick cooked once mix well the gravy and garnish with coriender leaves (figure 11)
      Yes, we are done with our Drumstick curry. Now its ready to serve!! 
 
Additional Tips:-

  • Take fresh drumstick then curry will be excellent
  • Fry onion and tomatoes well
  • Cook in a medium flame
