Dhal Powder
When I go out and say that I am coming from Andhra; almost 90% of the people use to say that they love dhal
powder and gongura chutney. I'm still searching for the reason why these two items alone has created that much expectations.
Today lets see how to prepare dhal power. It tastes excellent when taken along with ghee in rice.

Ingredients: Serve-4
- Red chili - 2
- Dry coconut- 1small pieces
- Bengal gram - 1glass
- Salt- 1/2spn (adjust to taste)
- Asafetida - 1/4spn
- Garlic - 3 pieces

Method:
- Take a pan, roast red chili and dry coconut until color changes to slightly red as shown in the figure 2.
- In a mix jar add items roasted in above step and make a powder. (figure 2)
- Add Bengal gram and make a powder. (figure 3)
- Add salt, asafoetida, garlic and make a soft powder. (figure 4 & 5)
That's it, Dhal powder is ready to serve. store it in dry container.
Additional Tips:-

Without Roasting the dry coconut
we can also make powder. If we roast the dry coconut then powder will stay for 10 days.
