Chicken 65


Chicken 65 is famous Indian recipe. chicken contains vitamin B3 and B6 both are important to our body if you are starting to feel a little tried or worn out, try eating some chicken to give your body a boost of nutrients, lean proteins and calories that will boost your energy levels. Vitamin B3 is essential for cancer protection and vitamin B6 keeps the heart healthy so both are energy booster. This recipe you can have it as a snack or a side-dish for meals.
Chicken 65
 Ingredients: Serve-2

  • Chicken - 1/2 kg (bone less)
  • Oil (for deep fry)
  • Red chilly powder - 1/2spn (adjust to taste)
  • Pepper powder - 1/4spn
  • Cumin powder - 1/4spn
  • Turmeric powder - a pinch
  • Salt - 3/4spn (adjust to taste)
  • Corn flour - 1spn
  • Ginger- garlic paste - 1spn
  • Thick curd - 2spn
  • Lemon juice - 1spn
  • Curry leafs - Few
  • Green chili - 4
  • Ajinomoto - 1/2spn
  • food color - 2 drops
  • Coriander leaves - Few

Method:
  1. Cut the chicken into medium size pieces, wash and keep aside
  2. Take a bowl add all ingredients except chicken pieces, green chilies, curry leafs mix well(figure 1, 2 &3)
  3. Add chicken pieces mix well and marinate for 2 hours.(figure 4 & 5)
  4. Take a pan heat oil for deep frying in a  medium flame 
  5. First fry the curry leafs, green chillies and serve in plate, keep aside.(figure 6)
  6. Now drop the first batch of chicken pieces and fry, till color changes to dark red. Repeat this for remaining batch and keep the fried chicken pieces in a paper towel. so that the excess oil will drain out. (figure 7)
  7. Finally garnish with coriender leaves, fried curry leafs and green chiilies and lemon.(figure 8) 
    Hot and Spicy Chicken 65 is ready!

Additional Tips:
  • It's important to fry the chicken in low heat otherwise the outside will start to cook while the inside remains raw.
  • If you don't have cornflour, use rice flour to give the outside a bit of crispness
  • Marinate the chicken at least 2 hours then only chicken will be soft
  • You can marinate more than 2 hours to get  more softer.
