About Me

Who am I?
I am Haritha, I love cooking and trying out old and new dishes in my kitchen. My food blog Harithas Kitchen is a humble attempt at sharing my passion for all things food and you will definetly find a lot of Andra flavor in this space, home-cooked meals.
I prepared for my family and whenever I make semiya payasam at our home i remember my colleges days I have given a small demo on how to make semiya payasam, every one like that receipe and most of my friends ask me to bring that recipe to college. I Have given them that receipe on  last day of our college. So i decided to dedicate my recipes  to all my classmates, friends and family. Every recipe published on this blog is tried and tested/tasted.
 My Background!
I am a food enthusiast who enjoys cooking for my family and grew-up watching my grand mother and mother prepare some of the most simple and complex recipes and have picked up some tips and tricks along the way.
My salutations to our ancestors who made the right food choices, their kitchen wisdom and passing on palate-pleasing culinary concoctions to us.
Thanks to our grandmothers and mothers who continue to sustain and nourish our rich culinary heritage.
And I believe, its our responsibility to respect and preserve the culinary tradition that have been given to us and pass it on to next generation.
My Lifeline!
Balaji, my husband has been a completely supportive partner to me in this regard. He kept giving me little tips and tricks here and there and i found myself enjoying my time in the kitchen. Moreover, anyone can take cooking seriously when the food they cook gets appreciated. The joyful look on people's faces when they eat my food, makes it all worthwhile.
My Camera
I have no formal training in food photography. Taking images of food is a learning process, a creative outlet for me and an enjoyable one at that.

Hope you enjoy your stay here as much as I've loved putting it across to you :) :) Thank you for visiting my blog and hope this blog would be help to you..

Enjoy Cooking!!!

Haritha Balaji
