Ladies Finger Fry |
- Ladies finger – ¼ kg
- Oil – 4tspn
- Mustard seeds – 1/2tspn
- Urad dhal – 1/2tspn
- Curry leaves – as required
- Red chilli powder – 1 & 1/2tspn
- Turmeric powder – 1/4tspn
- Salt – 1tspn (adjust to taste)

Method:
- Wash and cut the ladies finger as small pieces.
- Take a pan, heat oil in medium flame add mustard seeds wait for crackle then add urad dhal, curry leafs and saute for 1 minute.(figure 1)
- Add ladies finger pieces and saute for 3 minutes (figure 2)
- Add salt , turmeric powder and continue sauteing for 2 more minutes (figure 3 & 4)
- Now sprinkle little water and close with lid. Cook for 5 minutes in medium flame. (figure 5)
- Open the lid, add red chilly powder and saute for 5 more minutes. (figure 6 & 7)
- Serve in a bowl. (figure 8)
Additional Tips:-
- In step 1, wash the ladies finger and remove wet with towel and then cut as slices.
